How does the pressure Holter work?
The examination is carried out using a device that consists of a cuff like classic blood pressure monitors and a central unit that the patient wears 24 hours a day.
These devices are capable of taking multiple blood pressure measurements without the intervention of the examiner or subject (i.e. automatically) at regular intervals during the day (usually every 15 minutes) and during the night (usually every 30 minutes). The measurement method is mostly the oscillometry technique, as in most "commercial" sphygmomanometers.
